getting the kids to clean and do their chores efficiently. It is still a struggle. When I tell them that everything on the floor must be gone and clean, why do they think the neat pile in the middle is ok? Ugh!!! I’m starting to feel frantic. But deep breathe, I saw an episode of “The Waltons” the other day and Mrs. Walton had the same problem with her seven children. I guess I’m pretty normal if I’m in the same company as her. Four weeks to go before the start of school. So little time to train!
School starts in a month and I’m no closer to . . .

School starts in 3 1/2 weeks and I’m still no closer, either. 1/2 of the things I wanted to get done this summer aren’t, and some haven’t even been started! This summer definately has been a hard one in more than one way for us. I definately know what you are going through. My kids, too, think that throwing stuff in a pile constitutes cleaning up. Today, we are headed to go school shopping-it’s just hard to believe the summer’s almost over already. It feels like it never really even got started.
I’m both glad and sorry to hear that this issue of room cleaning crosses geographically boundaries! I’m sorry that school starts so soon. I do enjoy the busyness of the school year, but I am not ready for it to begin yet. I need more time!!! I hope shopping goes well and Miss A enjoys starting kindergarten this year.
