This was our family when I started this blog . . .
These are the stories of our “puddles.” Our children are not fully-“Lakes” yet, so for now they are just puddles. Our life is always busy and never dull! We moved from small town Nebraska to a suburban town in Texas. We hate the busyness but love how much closer we are to family. So these are the stories of a pastor-husband, a stay at home wife, a second grader, new Kindergarten student, and a precocious preschooler.
Oh how we have grown . . .
My husband likes to describe us like this . . . “my home consists of my wife, the puddles, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and a fish named ‘Duck’ “. And that pretty much sums us up. He says he’s copywriting that title for a book he is going to write one day. I have gone from being a stay at home mom, to working full time from home, to going back to being a stay at home mom. There are days that when someone asks me what I do, I say, “I’m a medical taxi service. I drive my kids and especially Ben to his 5000 doctor’s appointments.” My husband continues to be the pastor at Tree of Life Lutheran church, and when he’s not being a pastor he volunteers as an EMT once a month. Our eldest will be a sophomore in High School year, and is currently learning to drive. Gulp! Our son will be an 8th grader next year and still tells the best stories. And then there is our youngest . . . She is still precocious. She will be in 7th grade next year and her motto is, “Though she be little, she be fierce.” She still would rather cartwheel her way somewhere then walk, and has a fierce loyalty to those she loves. Our lives have dramatically changed since I started this blog, and I imagine that they will dramatically change again before I finish this blog. Life is ever changing, but that just makes it even more exciting.
Love the pictures and stories–man, I miss you guys!!
