Never thought I would say that in the middle of July in Texas.

All I can say is . . . THANK GOD! Better to be chilly than fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk hot!

Click here to see the kids have fun this week.  I get to stay home, but Chris is there with the Puddles, 20+ TOL kids, 2 TOL sponsors, 1 TOL youth director, and 1 TOL paramedic.  They look like they are having the best week ever!!!!

This is the first group of kids that are going to camp this year. Next week the older kids go! For a church our size, we send a ton of kids to camp! That is incredible! Camp is a powerful experience. How incredible is it that our children get to be a part of it!

And by the way . . . those shirts that they all are wearing glow in the dark. What an impact the youngest members of our church family will make that first night!

Here is Ben! Look at him run! I love it. He is having the time of his life! Camp is against the heart doctor’s rules. We, his parents, are breaking those rules for this week and this week only. This week he gets to be a boy.

My littlest one is growing up! This is her second year at camp and she is having a blast!
This Sunday she will be 8 years old. 8!!! It seems like only yesterday we brought her home. Now she is at camp for a week!

I truly have the best children in the world.

After a long day of cleaning, my children decided to massage my feet and my shoulders. It was awesome. I have trained them well!

Aunt Deb sent a picture of this hairdo last month and Ainsley immediately declares that we needed to do this hair style on the 4th.

It was fun to do!! We decided at the end of the day that instead of a flag she wants me to weave glow sticks into her hair. Madie joined in and said if we did glow sticks that I could do her hair too. It was fun to be creative again.

It is the 3rd week of summer and we are running out of ideas to do inside. When it is that hot outside, everything outside feels terrible!  Even the A/C inside the house is struggling to keep up with it all.  Part of our daily routine includes going around and shutting all of the blinds and curtains to keep the sun out!  104 degrees in the shade is just toooo hot!

She is earning money today organizing the bathroom cabinets. She thought she should put up a note of warning! I can’t wait to see the finished product.

Look at all of them reading! Even Chris is reading a book on his iPad! I love a quiet house while everyone is curled up and reading a good book.
