The coffee pot died. I mean truly died. Sputtering and moaning. Then nothing. I am not sure what I am going to do. The rule is you can’t talk to Mommy until she has had a least a cup of coffee. No coffee. And no time today to buy a coffee pot. I hope that my dear husband decides to make my world better and will bring home a coffee pot this evening after work. He picked the last one and did a great job. This one has lasted for 4 years. Which is a miracle in our world.
So until the new one arrives . . . lower the flags to half mast. Hum “Taps.” And put on my black. I am in mourning.
It could have been worse. You could have been trapped in your house with 3 house-bound crazy children while the snow blew so bad that you couldn’t see your neighbors AND have no coffee! 🙂
Makes you want to come back to Nebraska right now, doesn’t it?
Ok. You win. I’ll take my pity party elsewhere.
Seriously, the storm is that bad? I want snow, but not enough to be trapped for days indoors with my children to get it.
Well, no, it wasn’t near as bad as last year’s 4 day stretch with temendous snow and no electricity, not being able to even see out the windows because the snow had piled up so bad.
But still! You’d think it was truly awful, they way the kids carried on and fought Tuesday. Our storm was over today-Wednesday and the sun is shining-yea! But, the schools are still closed today, although the kids are acting SO much better and they were even able to get out for a little bit.
Mind you, it’s only 10 degrees out with a wind chill of below zero (we’re in a windchill warning all day today), but they braved it anyway to go play in the snow.
This explains your behavior on the phone when I called yesterday.. ;o)
Frankly, you are lucky I even answered the phone.
