About a month ago, Ainsley started begging me to let her do a lemonade stand. She is a sweet girl, but she doesn’t realize that we live on the worst street for a lemonade stand. There are no sidewalks, no one stops, and the cars go 80 miles an hour down the street. I love her, but I knew that she would work so hard on putting it together and would be utterly disappointed if no one came. So Dad and I talked to her about a lemonade stand. The reality of it and what we all would need to do in order to make her lemonade stand a success.
This is not the world that I grew up in (of course, I lived on a cul-de-sac so I had a terrible street for a lemonade stand too). This is the era of Facebook. As much as I don’t like it (and am not on it), there is great value in it. First, we helped Ainsley pick a charity to give the money too (Montgomery County Emergency Assistance). Then we all discussed what all needed to be done in order to prepare for the lemonade stand. Even Madie and Ben helped. She had Madie helping her create a table for the stand and decorating it with duct tape. Lastly, we asked Daddy to help with advertising. He put it up on Facebook and the rest was magic.

It was great turn out! We told Ainsley that it is unusual to have a line at your first lemonade stand! She was so thrilled that every one was there.

Look at that smile. It is contagious!
By the way, she was up and dressed by 8am. She wanted to look pretty, so that everyone would stop and buy from her!
